Account Deletion
IslandHub members can initiate permanent deletion from account settings without relying on an email request.

How to delete your account
- Sign in to IslandHub.
- Open Profile and account settings.
- Choose Delete account, review the consequences, enter your account email and the confirmation word, then confirm.
- Your sessions are revoked when deletion processing begins.
What is deleted or anonymised
IslandHub removes or anonymises profile details, addresses, saved preferences, active sessions, refresh and notification tokens, uploaded profile images, carts, favourites, follows, searches, listing content, store access, messages, and reviews where technically and lawfully appropriate. Merchant listings are withdrawn and storefront access is suspended.
What may be retained
Minimum order, payment-reference, refund, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, enforcement, and audit records may be retained when required for a legal or legitimate operational obligation. Personal details are detached or anonymised where the record no longer needs them.
Deletion status and access
The deletion action is idempotent: repeating it does not recreate information or delete another account. Authentication is disabled and active sessions are revoked when processing starts. If processing cannot finish, the account records a failed status so the issue can be investigated safely.
Problems with deletion
If you cannot sign in or deletion fails, use IslandHub Support or email support@islandhub.ky. Support is an escalation path, not the ordinary deletion method.
